Hello all this is once again Mags...Unfortunately...
Poodle has been taken into hospital again as she couldn't swallow and was regurgatating everything, she couldn't even swallow her own spit. She is quite upset and frightened as we can all imagine. Poodle is going to have to have the radiotherapy asap instead of later like she planned. She will be going into a hospice after as she will need alot of looking after so I am not sure if she can update anytime soon so I will try and update you if not. She needs alot of support and calls and texts. Sorry to be the bearer of sad news. LETS BE UPBEAT NOW.... We all know she's a fighter and I know she has the fight in her...she's not beaten yet!
Love Mags... GET TEXTING CALLING COMMENTING I WILL SEND ALL BEST WISHES HER WAY IF YOU CAN'T CALL.. THANK YOU FOR YOUR SUPPORT.

Well my aunt had a great half term staying at a nice caravan they went to the beacj children went swimming saw my mum and the kids always fun... they did go the last two days with no hot water... very er...refreshing? especially after the beach and jumping in a minus a million degrees shower?!!!! ARGH. However she did win at bingo.. even though she says it was her first time... i don't believe her i think she's been on fox's bingo website if anything... damn beginners luck lol... AJ was quite happy asking to put the winnings even tho they were split with a fellow bingo lady into saving for a Wi or however it is spelt.. not gonna happen.. they have enough electrical whizzy things as it is it's going toward a nice day out =D...anyway she did have a brilliant time untill the holiday ended and she realised she'd over done it and was confronted by BEAST MEGA ULCERS. Or BMU as their medical name referred to... :P. She has now had to have 2 pints of blood as she is very anaemic and all in all feeling a bit crappy... time for all the loving texts people.. I EXPECT A TIDAL WAVE !!!!!! oh dear my grammer and spelling is awful I do apologise Poodle... Hope I have done you proud.. my Bingo-ing Poodle <3

Hey everyone... This is Mags...AKA Magnolia I am Poodles niece. Unfortunately she is currently in hospital and needs lots of supportive calls as she is mightily lonely... So how did this happen I hear you cry....well sit yourselves down grab a coffee and read away.

She was away in kent seeing her mum and and my mum and family for easter. Having lots of fun with eggs and PLENTY chocolicious chocolate, when the day she was due to go home she threw up many times and stayed there for the night while the kids and husband left for home. She was due to join them the next day only to again be sick all night and day and be rushed to hospital by ambulance monday evening where she has been ever since....:(
In her own words "Feeling crappy and fed up in a hospital and hating being away from home mum's been with me everyday she lost her mobile again bless her... she forgot to bring my pj bottoms so I now have a chilly bum...( whether she wanted me to write this I'm not sure :P) But mum did bring her own pj bottoms? ? ? and so i'm now wearing mum's pj bottoms!!!!!! Good job i've lost weight *thumbs up*. After a few days they've now found that my long line is infected but not sure which antibiotics to use as it's taken days just to grow the bacteria to see its infected now waiting on testing it with different antibiotics or something to that degree.IF they have given me the right antibiotics then I should only be there for 3 days? if not ALOT more....Waiting to find out if I can go to southampton hospital if they have a bed it would be nice to be closer to family and to be honest its a bit like a second home....>.< so feeling very GLUM and in much need of love! Guessing my lack of blogging was due to feeling grotty last week as i was helping a colony of bacteria move in on my body..YIKES...So to sum up PLEASE CALL AND TEXT!!!!!! I am lonely and fed up and I've had enough. On the up side to be so far from home I can see grass, cars, life and humanity!!! So nice view.... I have my own ROOM which as tesco's say means every little helps! I do however have a toilet...but no sink....(EW) and have now been forced to take refuge with my detergent wipes. It's a 1930's hospital and staff are lovely but they work in appauling conditions not helped by me being a mad woman with baggy bottoms and hugging detergent wipes...The general cleanliness is a bit eurgh! A far cry from normality and even little things are missed. This place reminds me of the OLD (Ancient) apart of the school I went to with pipes sticking out on the walls...oh well... I just want to go home..."

So that was although written by myself from my lovely Aunt and we are all hoping ad praying she can come home soon!

Please call and text her she sounds so down at the moment not that I blame her!!! But she needs some real support...

Thanks to everyone from reading I will update again soon if she's not home.

Love Magnolia >.< her niece

It was a very strange hospital stay. I either had loads of visitors or none and time went very quickly.
A lot of the other patients were very ill and one lady died next to me which was rather distressing. The lady diagnally opposite me came from Jersey. She had come over originally for a week's course of radiotherapy but went down hill and had ot be admitted. The hotel being paid for by the Jersey equivalent of the NHS were prepared to pay for the hotel whilst she was being treated as an outpatient but then refused to pay when she was in hospital so he was effectively homeless!! Eventually, the liaison officer found him a shared room in hospital accomodation but what an awful situation to think that they will pay for your partner when being treated as an outpatient but if you are rreally ill and in hospital, they refuse to pay for your hotel!!!
There was also a patient who had funny turns at 7am by which I mean very violent turns. He threw a dripstand through a window and tried to attack the nurses with it onne day and another day, he threw a glass and water jug and the other day, he just swore and became very verbally abusive. It was very scary and security took a long time to come up. The rest of the time he was OK but it was something about 7am which made him flip.
I did not see the consultant at all and my own registrar 3 times and other days saw the duty registrar. My registrar kept talking about a 'limited window of opportunity' to get on top of this cancer and desparately tried to get hold of the marsden to give a decsion about tykerb.
I did have a bone scan which showed I had slightly more spread in my rib bones but not much else.
I was still having trouble with swallowing but as I wasn't that hungry it didn't seem that much of a problem. I thought it was still to do with the gastroenteritis so wasn't concerned.
We had to organise the home oxygen which wasn't a problem but they would only give us one unit to do up and downstairs. They did not deliver any portable oxygen or a carrier or a conserver so that you only use the oxygen when you breathe in and it is not puffing out all the time.
I had to come home with the hospital's portable oxygen but before i did I checked out with the respiratory nurses who I had to let know about having home oxygen. They did not know!!! I then asked my friend to google it and found we had to notify the home and car insurance, have stickers in the car and notify the fire brigade!!! Surely the respiratory nurses should know that or there should be a leaflet telling you what to do!!
I came home with a huge supply of pills but not the painkillers - sensible aren't they. I did not come back with my new packet of lorazepam or diazepam so what a waste.
