Over the weekend, I managed to find out how to find the names for these anonymous tracks. Hooray, perhaps I still have a few brain cells left then.
About Me
- Name: dippykate
- Location: south hampshire, United Kingdom
I am 46. Diagnosed April 2005 with aggressive Her2+++ breast cancer. Had chemo, mastectomy, extended radiotherapy as developed skin secondaries. Started herceptin Oct 2005 and had it ever since. Diagnosed with secondaries in Aug 06 with new lump in opposite arm pit, lung, bone and liver. Had vinorelbine which worked but 9 weeks later my breathing so bad again. Had xeloda from mar 07- oct 07. Had to stop as kept getting infections and was no longer working. Dec 07, onc wanted to stop all treatment but persuaded him to give me gemcetabine and carboplatin and stayed on this till may 08. The tumour in my lung had squashed my oesophagus so couldn't swallow solids but after one dose I could and didn't need oxygen anymore. End of may 08,couldn't swallow again and CT scan showed the tumour squashing my oesophagus more and had fluid around my heart. Had radiotherapy to this and to the bony spread. July 08 went jaundiced and had a stent to relieve blockage. Started 18 weekly taxol course aug 08 and only on number 14 due to infections and christmas!!Hope to finish course Jan 09 and see what happens!! Scary as no chemo options left but will try for vineralbine again.
